Halloween is almost here!

I have decided that since Halloween is almost here that I might post a few black and white photos I have taken. Mostly because I don't have any scary photos or any with kids in costumes just yet and this seemed almost appropriate. I think some black and whites are beautiful and I think some come out kind of eery, either way i like both kinds.

I have found that my eery looking photos were of trees. Hmmm....I wonder if I just have a thing for wierd looking trees?
I loved how these trees looked kind of eery in Black and White

Cool looking dead tree

I took this in the summer and I loved how cool it looked spider web and all.

Here are some of my warm and fuzzy black and whites. Of course they are of my kids.
 Sierra sitting on a swing.

A picture of Tristen on one of our walk.
I am still trying to work on my Black and White photos. I need to do more contrasting and make them a little more sharp but I still love them.

Have a great Halloween.

FALL IS HERE

This is my favorite time of year! I love the Fall. I love the colors I love the clothes and I love the weather. There is nothing better than throwing on a comfy pair of jeans and a nice thick sweater and being relaxed. I went on a venture through our town and took some photo's of the scenery so enjoy.

This church is at the other end of our street.

I love the dark bark and the light yellow leaves! These are the colors of my dining room.

This barn is about a mile from my house and I just loved the red color w/ the rustic silos.

I just love the softness of this photo!

I get to look at these trees every time I go grocery shopping. The whole road is lined with them.
I liked how this turned out with the light coming in from the one corner.

Well there you have it. This is what I see when I go around town each day in the fall. Do you see why I love this time of year?

Unsuspecting Kids

There just seems to be something about catching a photo of the kids without them knowing it. I have two photos that I love. Both of them are of the kids when they aren't looking and of course for some reason I love them even more in black and white.

Brother and Sister fishing

Snow cones on a summer day

See what I mean. They seem so peaceful. One would almost think that they are not about to jump up and probably do something they are not allowed to do. Of course I know better! LOL... However, I still love them and can't wait to share them with the kids when they are older.

Childhood

Good day to you all! I have chosen a picture today that reminds me of how childhood should be remembered as. I think when we look back we should all have a moment of just being kids, running and playing on a sunny day! I took this photo of my neighbors grandchildren while I was at the polo field in front of our house.

Childhood
Shouldn't we all have moments like this. So carefree! I want my children to grow up and remember the little things like this. I don't want them to remember what video game or toy they got but that they were outside having fun doing something.

Fall

Yesterday my son and I decided to go on an "adventure" and we took the camera. I got some really good shots that I posted on my facebook. However, thanks to today's weather one is sticking out to me right now:

fall
The weather is supposed to be a high of 69 and partly cloudy w/ a chance of showers. FALL is here. I love fall it is my favorite season. I love being able to wear comfy jeans, nice sweater and comfy shoes. This is exactly what this photo says to me. I just want to cuttle up w/ a hot cup of tea in an over sized sweater and relax.

Well enjoy!

A little bit of flutter

For today's photo I have decided to upload one that my sister and I were playing with yesterday morning on the computer! (Hey Pam). It took me forever to get a picture of this butterfly. We were fishing with my husband for Fathers Day and it kept flying around us but not stopping. After about 2 hours it finally stopped for a moment. Which was just long enough for me to snap the photo. I'm not sure what it is about the picture that I like, maybe the fact that it was giving me such a hard time or that it came out better than i thought it would.

For just a moment it was still
Whenever I see this pictures I just keep thinking "wow this would look really good in a lavender and green bathroom." I know that sounds wierd but I just keep picturing it there. Maybe its because I think that it would be a nice thing to see first thing in the morning? I don't know.  What do you think.

My first Moment....

With this being my first post I'm not sure where to actually begin. I have been taking photos for a year now and they just sit on my computer and no one gets to see them. I would like to get them out and viewable so I can see what type of reactions people get from them. While my photography isn't professional and I don't have any great photo editing software, my photos are kinda of "what you see is what you get". I am more or less just wondering if people can see what I do. So please feel free to tell me what you feel when you view it.

Well here goes. This is my first photo:
forestry in a small town
I took this photo while walking my dog this summer. It makes me feel like I'm on this nice wilderness walk when in all actuality if you could span out you would see this just lines a driveway and there aren't many other trees around. I couldn't get over the lighting and shading.

Let me know what ya think. Enjoy!
